Albums
When you upload photos to SlickPic they are automatically stored in Albums. Albums are a convenient way of storing and organizing your photos in your account.
You will see a list of your albums in the left-hand side menu.
Collections
A Collection is like a virtual album where you select different photos from your albums to create a collection for sharing – perhaps for a specific audience or a specific purpose.
You can find your Collections in the left-hand side menu, just below your albums.
Putting photos into a collection doesn’t move them from the original album where they are stored and you can add the same photo to multiple collections.
Your Collections are a convenient way to showcase or share photos which are stored in different albums. They allow you flexibility in the way that you organise your photos, without affecting their permanent location.
Maybe you want to create a compilation of photos from your favourite trips, each of which are organized into a different album. Or, you want to showcase a portfolio of your best work for a potential client (make sure you check out our Portfolio Website builder if this is interesting to you). Collections would be the place to do this. Easily customize and share collections, using the same options and settings that you have with albums.
You can also create Sub-Collections within a Collection for an additional level of customization.
See the following article for more information on How to Create a Collection.
Smart Collections
Your Smart Collections are stored just beneath your Collections on the side menu. Within Smart Collections you have Quick Collections, Shared with Me and Shared by Me.
Quick Collections are collections which you can compile quickly and easily with photos from your albums or collections. It is a place where you can create a temporary collection of photos on the fly.
Photos will remain here until they are moved to another collection.
